Privacy policy
GrocerySlash is a content site. We do not require an account to use the site and we collect a deliberately minimal set of data from the people who visit it. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask us to remove it.
What we collect
We collect standard server-side request data such as IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and the path of the page you requested. This data is used to operate the site, diagnose performance problems, and aggregate anonymous traffic statistics. If you submit your email address through the newsletter form on the homepage or in the sidebar, we collect the name and email address you provide along with any optional preferences such as your favorite stores. We use that information solely to deliver the Weekly Deals Digest and any account or service emails you specifically request.
How we use it
Email addresses submitted through the newsletter form are used to send you the digest and occasional service emails. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not share it with third-party marketers. You can unsubscribe in one click using the link at the bottom of every email we send. Server-side traffic data is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful to readers and which need to be improved.
Cookies and advertising
We use a small set of first-party cookies to remember your preferences across visits, such as whether you have already dismissed the newsletter modal. We also work with display-ad partners that may set their own cookies to deliver and measure advertising. You can disable third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read any coupon content on the site.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request from the email address you submitted to the newsletter, and we will action it within 30 days.
